Kathy Ann Fender Morrell, 67, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2021, after an extended illness. Kathy loved everybody and made sure she called everyone on a daily basis.
Kathy is survived by two sisters, Lisa Miller and Tammy Fender, and one brother, Danny Simmons. She has several nieces that she loved dearly, Tara Russell, Leah Reed, Amber Cobble, Grace Fillers and Faith Fillers, and one nephew, Chris Miller. Kathy has some very dear cousins in North Carolina.
Kathy was preceded in death by her only son, Brent Goforth; her mother, Grace Simmons; and her father, Glen Fender.
Kathy had a very special caretaker, Dave Sorrell.
No funeral service is planned but a celebration of her life will be held at the home of her sister, Tammy Fender, 153 Beryl Blevins Road (Lynn Valley), Elizabethton, on Saturday, November 27, from 2 until 5 p.m. Friends may come by or call anytime. Tammy: (423) 213-4833; Lisa: (423) 213-7971.
