To the Editor:
This was said said 80 years ago on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor: “Our ships were mighty…our men were strong and brave…but we had no warning.” President Franklin D. Roosevelt termed it as “a date that will live in infamy.” Twenty years ago on September 11, 2001, history repeated itself and America was attacked again from the air without warning. September 11 became a second day that will live in infamy. Yet most aren’t ready for the next attacks. We don’t learn from history.
The Bible in Ecclesiastes 1 says history repeats itself. According to Christian website www.worldviewweekend.com, “Russia has admitted in defense journals that they have plans for a Pearl Harbor 2.0 style attacks on U.S. ships on both coasts.” Dr. Peter Pry said Russia has tried to penetrate the U.S. electric power grid. He said there’s a great threat of an EMP and or a cyber attack on America’s power grid. An electric power outage for one year could kill 90 percent of the people in big American cities.
The Bible in Ezekiel 38:11 says Russia (Gog) will “go up” and attacks the “land of unwalled villages.” Most in the past believed this is Israel but some like Bible expert Doug Woodward now believe because Israel has more walls than any country that it’s talking about America which is allied with Israel. It’s logical that Russia (Gog) would neutralize America first or while they launch attacks on Israel. Russia already has military operations in the arctic, “goes up” over the arctic and down to attack America. Iran will have one or two nuclear bombs by January so Israel is about to attack Iran. Russia is gearing up to invade Ukraine by January. China is preparing to invade Taiwan probably at the same time as the Russia invasion. The good news for Christians is Jesus is on the way to rapture and rescue them! If you aren’t a Christian, first admit that you’re a sinner and need Jesus, Second, believe Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Third, call on or pray to Jesus to save you and give you the free gift of salvation. Don’t let your pride keep you from getting forgiveness of all your sins, reconciliation with God, sonship, heavenly mansion and eternal life!
The lessons of the Pearl Harbor and 9-11 attacks show the need to have good intelligence information and be prepared militarily and most importantly the need to be prepared spiritually for death. Experts say another attack isn’t a matter of if, but when! The Bible says, “prepare to meet your God!” We don’t harbor fear of another Pearl Harbor or 9-11 because we are going to Heaven if Jesus is our Savior. Only Jesus can bless you and keep you and give you real peace 24/7! Jesus is the reason for the season and the only hope in every season! I love the verse, “Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ!”
