Randal Lewis, Carter County Trustee, has announced his retirement effective September 1, 2022.
“After much thought and prayer, I have decided to not seek reelection for the position of Carter County Trustee in the next General Election in August 2022. It has been an honor and privilege to service the people of Carter County for soon to be 28 years,” says Lewis.
“The accomplishments made during my years of service could not have happened without the expertise of my staff. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for their tireless work and dedication. We will continue to provide the same level of service until my last day. Also, I would like to extend a very special thank you to my family and many friends that have supported me throughout my time in office.
“Upon my retirement I will still see you around Carter County, enjoying the beauty of the lakes and mountains with my family and many friends,” Lewis said.
