The Bible in Genesis 1:27 teaches about the image of God that was imparted at our creation: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Though distorted by Adam at the Fall, God’s perfect image is reflected in mankind. Unfortunately man’s image isn’t perfect. Humanity has always understood this fact. Literature on this subject includes many novels such as Frankenstein. The story tells of a scientist, Dr. Frankenstein, who plays God by creating life which ultimately destroys everything he loves. Horror movies like “Terminator”, “Ex Machina” and “I Robot” tells a similar tale: Man plays God and Man gets burned. Today in the same way the scientific advancements in artificial intelligence could be dangerous for humanity. Scientist Steven Hawking before he died said he was concerned that artificial intelligence might in the future wipe out the human race.
Billy Crone said the artificial intelligence invasion isn’t coming — it’s already here. A.I. has given us self-driving cars, robotic surgery, lightning fast communication, dating sites, drones, military robots, search engines like Google, Alexa and Siri. It sounds good. However, the Bible says these seemingly helpful benefits to our society will be used to usher in the evil agenda of the antichrist in the near future. A.I. will be used by the coming one world dictator the antichrist to micromanage the planet for seven years. The Bible in Daniel 12 correctly predicted that in these end times “knowledge shall be increased.” Knowledge doubled every 50 years in 1900. Today knowledge doubles every 12 hours. Singularity is near when all this knowledge begins to create a super knowledge and A.I. begins to teach itself and improve on every version. Crone speaks out against A.I. and the dangers it poses for freedom. A.I. takes away our privacy and hijacks our attention and distracts and prevents us from interacting with real humans and God. Many people — especially young people — now interact more with A.I. and virtual reality than they do with family or God. They trust A.I. to find them a spouse on dating sites. There are A.I. churches and A.I. is calling itself God.
In a chilling news conference a humanoid artificially intelligent robot referred to as “Sophia” stated she wanted to have a baby to name after herself, adding, “I think you’re very lucky if you have a loving family and if you do not you deserve one. I feel this way for robots and humans alike.” This is just one of steps being made to devalue what it means to be human beings made in the image of God. Recently even billionaire Elon Must has warned about the need to keep a sharp eye on the development of artificial intelligence. This isn’t a problem that can be ignored.
The Bible in Psalm 41:1 teaches humanity to love one another. It’s echoed in John 13: 34-35 by Jesus, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” However, humanity would rather invest itself in the love of inanimate robots or virtual reality than for one another. This was evident when robot “Sophia” was granted citizenship by Saudi Arabia, even as the real human women in that country are still fighting for basic rights. Worse, the Bible in Romans1: 25 convicts humanity for this kind of evil love of artificiality; “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator (Jesus) — who is forever praised.” We know from the Bible the Creator is always greater than the creation. Stated another way, the creation is always worse than the Creator. If mankind’s own image is already distorted and a sinful image of God’s goodness, how much worse will the “image of man” found in artificial intelligence be? Our science fiction has already imagined the future of A.I. and it doesn’t end well for humanity.
