As the holidays and frigid weather arrive, Witten Huddle is working to make sure no one goes without a warm coat.

Witten Huddle is a football training program through Star Fitness for elementary through high school students. The program focuses on bettering its athletes and providing moral direction, said Ryan Witten, training coach.

The team collects donations from the community to give back to those in need through the Warm Up With Witten Huddle program. The goal is to provide needed coats, hats, and gloves for everyone of all ages and sizes.

“We’ve collected roughly 500 coats, that’s not including the other things,” said Witten. “The team members worked together to collect everything and sort through them all.

“We’ve been giving out these items for about six years now and it’s just always such a good thing for my boys to do.”

As they close the collection of donations, the team member will gather everything they have and begin to distribute them.
