FROM STAFF REPORTS
The Chuckey Doak Lady Black Knights made the trip to Stoney Creek looking to pick up a win over the home-standing Unaka Lady Rangers Monday evening but the only gift that Unaka was willing to give was a lump of coal for the return trip as the Lady Rangers broke out front 33-22 in the opening half and didn’t take their foot off the gas in the second to record a 72-49 win.

Leading the way was junior Lyndie Ramsey who scored a game-high 25 points for Unaka with 15 points in the first half including 9-of-10 from the charity stripe. Macy Ensor also had a big night connecting for 17 points including four treys.

As a team, the Lady Rangers hit 17-of-23 free throws for the contest and eight players scored two or more in the game for head coach Kenneth Chambers.
