Mary Lee Elliott Shepherd, 80, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at Hillview Health Center.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Lona Stout Elliott.
Mary Lee was a graduate of Johnson County High School. She was a truck driver with Reco Transportation, Black Mountain, N.C. She was of the Baptist Faith. She loved to work in her garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ogene Eugene Shepherd, who passed away February 25, 1995, and a daughter, Joann Sullivan.
Survivors include her children, Joni Shepherd, Elizabethton, and Steven Shepherd, Mountain City; two grandchildren, Shawn Shepherd and Stephanie South; as well as several special nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 31, in the Rock Springs Cemetery with Rev. Gary Deloach officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
