Hampton First Baptist Church in Hampton will host its second youth rally in January.

The rally will take place from Jan. 3-5, at 6:30 p.m. daily at the church. “We have invited as many youth as we possibly could for this event,” said Ryan Arnett with Hampton First Baptist Church. “We will be hosting live music and a speaker each night. And while there are some other things, the main draw is our speakers and music. We will also be feeding everyone on the last day of the rally after everything is wrapped up.”

The church held its first youth rally two years ago. “It was a huge success, the Lord really blessed it. To not be able to have a youth rally last year was a disappointment for the church of course, so this year we are ecstatic to be back,” Arnett said. “It is great to be able to bring everyone together. We are all on the same team, so we want to just get everyone together to worship.”

Whitney Stricklin, a member of the Hampton First Baptist youth group, is excited for this event to kick off the new year. “The youth rally is something I’ve been looking forward to all year. Being able to go to an event made for believers my age is so amazing. This youth rally gives high school and college students the opportunity to come together and worship Jesus; no matter the background, school affiliation, or church history. I know I loved the last youth rally that was held in January 2020. I have a feeling this one is going to be even better.”

Along with Hampton First Baptist’s Youth Rally in January, the church is also starting a new outreach program starting in February. At 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month, Hampton First Baptist will begin their SOUL program, which stands for Seeking Our Unchanging Lord.

The outreach program will take place at Doe River Gorge and will feature live music, a meal, and a speaker.
