The Elizabethton Planning Commission will elect new officers and review two requests at its Thursday meeting.
The commission will review a property line adjustment between two properties on Parkway Boulevard that will accommodate a garage.
Commission members also will review a request to expand the parking lot used by First Tennessee Human Resources Agency and NET Trans.
“NET Trans has an operations facility where they park their vans, and they are going to be doing a parking expansion. If you drove by now, you would see that they own a grass lot by the building and they park all throughout the grassy area. Their plan is to pave that area and turn it into a real parking lot,” said Logan Engle, planning and economic development director for the City of Elizabethton. The new lot would include 36 spaces.
The commission also will elected new officers and set meeting dates for 2022. Current officers are Paul Bellamy, chairman; Dena Bass, vice chairman; and Wes Frazier, secretary.
The commission meets at 6 p.m. Thursday at Elizabethton City Hall Council Chambers.
