Randy Keith Shoun, 64, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Leonard and Corine Estep Shoun.
Randy was a graduate of Unaka High School and attended Herman Robinson Vocational Technical School. He was retired from the Radiology Department of the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He loved working on cars.
Randy was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Blake Tanner, and a sister, Tammy Shoun. Randy was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Cathy Shell Shoun; his children, Brittany Shoun, Olivia Shoun, Jessica Cloutier and Lucas (Brittany) Tanner; several grandchildren; and one brother, Joey (Amy) Shoun.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 10, in the Shoun Cemetery with the Rev. Lu Crandell Miller and the Rev. Mike Berry officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital for the excellent care he received.
