Keep Carter County Beautiful to host first cleanup event of 2022

Keep Carter County Beautiful is recruiting volunteers to help with a Milligan Highway cleanup on Jan. 29.
Participants will meet in the Happy Valley Elementary School parking lot at 10 a.m. Volunteers will be picking up trash along the highway from Milligan College to Powder Branch Road.
Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately and to bring gloves and water. KCCB will provide items such as trash bags, trash grabbers, and safety vests.
Social distancing and facial coverings will be required. Due to TDOT guidelines, participants will be required to wear gloves as well.
Volunteers can register at www.kccbtn.org. Additionally, a TDOT safety video is available to review before the event.
