Linda Mae Sturm, 69, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Select Specialty at Fort Sanders in Knoxville. Linda was born in Ansted, W.Va., to the late Kenneth and Muriel Kirby Elkins. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Linda retired as an associate at Walmart and was a member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 49 years, Randal Wayne Sturm, of the home; three children, Stephanie (Billy) Wilson of Butler, Amanda (Brian) Horton of Kingsport and Jason (Roberta) Sturm of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Madison Mann, Morgan Mann, Ethan Wilson, AJ Sturm and Hadley Sturm; and four siblings, Janet Lewis, Carolyn (Fred) Rogers, David Elkins and Mark (Kari) Elkins, all of West Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The celebration of life service for Linda Mae Sturm will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 24, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Dr. Steven Davis officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow in the Grindstaff Cemetery (Eggers Lane).
