Fight at party leads to shooting

A fight between multiple people led to a shooting early Saturday morning on Well Street.
Elizabethton Police Chief Jason Shaw said the incident took place at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday. Officers responded to a call of a robbery and found a shooting victim when they arrived.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
According to preliminary investigation, a party was occurring at a residence when a fight broke out between multiple subjects in the street and the shooting happened during the fight.
The investigation is ongoing by the EPD.
