Community bike ride slated for April 23

A free community bike ride is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday beginning and ending at Pedals On Rails located at 401 East E St., in downtown Elizabethton.
The event is sponsored by the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Carter County Tourism and Main Street Elizabethton.
Ride into Spring is a free event and consists of a three-mile loop. A one-mile loop is also planned for the younger riders.
For those who don’t have their own bike or just want to try something new, bike rentals are available from Pedals On Rails and can be reserved at pedalsonrails.com. Helmets are required and pre-registration is recommended at elizabethtonchamber.com.
The fun community event welcomes the new season and provides an opportunity to enjoy the beauty offered by the region.
