Volunteers are needed for a cleanup of Blevins Road on Saturday, July 16, at 10 a.m.
Volunteers are asked to meet in the Blevins Road Boat Ramp Parking Lot at 10 a.m. Trash pickup will be along both sides of Blevins Road from the boat ramp parking lot to Elizabethton Highway. The area that will be covered is about a 1/2 mile walk along the Watauga River.
Those planning to participate in the cleanup are asked to dress appropriately and bring gloves and water. Keep Carter County Beautiful will provide trash bags, grabbers, and safety vests. Gloves and water will be available if you need them.
Please register for the event at the Keep Carter County Beautiful website: www.kccbtn.org/Events by clicking on the button labeled “Register for Blevins Road Cleanup.” Provide your name, email, address, and event name for which you are volunteering.
