Non-lethal weapons class to be held August 20

According to State-Certified Instructor Ken Potter, a state-certified non-lethal weapons class will be taught on August 20 starting at 8:30 a.m. The class will be held at 135 Keenburg Road in Elizabethton and will cover chemical spray, expandable baton, handcuffing, and taser. Applicants may take all programs or choose the ones they want. Potter said this course will cover training for security officers to carry these non-lethal weapons. Church groups may attend to obtain certificates of completion. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to attend.
