Hiroshima, Japan was largely destroyed by an American atomic bomb, the first used in warfare 77 years ago on Aug. 6, 1945, killing an estimated 140,000. Nagasaki was bombed on August 9 with 74.000 killed. President Truman said four years later on Sept. 23, 1949, the Soviet Union had caught up with us and had bombs. Thanks to God’s mercy we have survived almost 73 years of potential nuclear war. We were close to war during the Cuban missile crisis of 1962. We are close to nuclear war now in 2022 with Russia, China and North Korea threatening us. New York City emergency management just shared important steps for New Yorkers to follow if a nuclear attack occurs. New York is also a target for a suitcase nuke or dirty bomb. America has given over 60 billion dollars and our best weapons to Ukraine and they have killed Russians with them which increase our odds of war with Russia.
The U.S. government website updated a page on how to survive a nuclear attack when Russia invaded Ukraine. I’m sure it’s a coincidence. Right? See www.ready.gov/ nuclear-explosion. The U.S. government says nuclear explosions can cause significant damage and deaths from blast, heat and radiation but you can keep your family safe by knowing what to do and being prepared if it occurs. If you are outdoors when a detonation occurs take cover from the nuclear blast behind anything that might offer protection. Fallout is most dangerous in the first few hours after the detonation when it is giving off the highest levels of radiation. It can take radiation fallout more than 15 minutes to arrive on ground level if outside the immediate blast damage zones. This is enough time to prevent significant radiation exposure by getting inside and staying inside. Get inside the nearest building to avoid radiation. Brick or concrete are best. Go to a basement if possible. If no basement go to the middle of the building and stay away from windows, outer walls and roof. If you were outside after fallout arrived remove contaminated clothing and wipe off or wash unprotected skin. Don’t touch your eyes, nose and mouth. Stay inside for at least 24 hours until local authorities provide other instruction. Cell phones, text messaging, television and internet services may be disrupted or unavailable. Battery operated and hand crank radios will function after a nuclear detonation.
The Bible predicted we would have wars and rumors of war and everything would be shaken in the end days. The Bible predicted among other things in 2 Timothy 3: “this know also that in the last days perilous (dangerous) times shall come.” We can’t close our eyes and pretend nuclear weapons don’t exist, and can’t fight it with our heads in the sand thinking happy thoughts. As the Bible says in Lamentations: “it is because of the Lord God’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is God’s faithfulness.” Citizens need to learn what steps to take in the possible event of a nuclear war. Hunkering in your bunker or basement is good. Trusting Jesus is best! Derek Prince said God’s atomic weapon is the blood of Jesus and we overcome Satan and sin by the blood of Jesus. We put our sin under the blood of Jesus and put our fears under the feet of Jesus. Nuclear action is possible but Jesus coming is without doubt. Jesus is more powerful and faster than any nuclear missile. It is written, “In a moment in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” Rapture is in the air. So I will see you here, there or in the air!
