Johnson City man charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility

Christian Ford, 25, Johnson City, was charged Sunday with introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, Johnson City Police brought Ford into Washington County Detention Center for booking on three counts of criminal trespass. Deputies discovered an anomaly during Ford’s body scan. He eventually gave the unknown object to detention center deputies. Items relinquished equated to approximately 18.5 grams of methamphetamine and 21 grams of marijuana.
Ford is scheduled to appear in Washington County Sessions Court on August 10 at 9 a.m. He is currently being held by WCSO under a $5,000 bond.
