Slagle Methodist
Slagle Methodist Church, Range Community, will celebrate 100 plus 2 years on Sunday, Aug. 21. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will include special singing, reminiscing, fellowship, displays, church history, and much more.
At 12 noon or shortly thereafter will be a covered dish dinner, and everyone is invited to bring their favorite dish of food.
The public is invited.
Leanne Miller is pastor and Mike Berry is assistant pastor.

First Christian
First Christian Church children’s ministry is back and running at full capacity. You can check the church Facebook page to see what the church and First Christian kids are doing.
Sunday morning worship is at 9:45 a.m. and Wednesday Bible Study is at 6 p.m.
The church is located at 513 Hattie Ave.
Everyone is invited.

CCCMF meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Range Community Christian Church.
Sam Kozee, youth minister at Central Community Christian Church, will be guest speaker.

New Liberty Free Will
The Rev. Eric Heaton will preach at worship services Sunday at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Rev. Heaton is the longtime pastor of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church.
Everyone is invited to attend.
New Liberty Free Will is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

Union Hill Free Will
Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 125 Lane Hill Road, will have a women’s conference Saturday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Lunch will be served at noon.
The theme of the conference is “As We Fight Our Way Through the Battles” with Brianna Fagan as guest speaker.

Valley Forge Free Will
An Operation Christmas Child event will be held Monday, Aug. 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.
Alex Nsengimana, a recipient of one of the Christmas shoeboxes, will be attending.
The Operation Christmas Child event is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, which has collected and delivered more than 198 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 170 countries and territories. This year, Operation Christmas Child hopes to collect enough shoebox gifts to reach another 11 million children.
Nsengimana will share how the gift-filled shoebox made a difference in his life. He now serves with Operation Christmas Child paying forward the hope and love he received through a shoebox gift.
