Venoy Ruth Frazier, 75, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Venoy was born in Carter County to the late Ray C. Frazier and and Mary Lewis Frazier. In addition to her parents, Venoy was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jean Frazier, and her brothers, Jessie Jack Frazier, Howard Frazier, Wesley Bud Frazier and Gerald Frazier.
Venoy had worked at Union Prescription Shop and was a member of Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish Venoy’s memory include two brothers, Tony (Cathy) Frazier of Elizabethton and Carson (Beverly) Frazier of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Helen Frazier and Willie Frazier; and her nieces and nephews, Travis Frazier, Heather Frazier, Melissa Frazier and family, and Aaron Frazier. Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A graveside service to celebrate Venoy’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, August 29, in the Wilson Cemetery with Rev. Joe Ledford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Frazier, Aaron Frazier, Storm Frazier, Tony Frazier and Carson Frazier. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday.
