On October 6, 2022, the American Legion post 49 donated a new flag to the school replacing the old unserviceable one. Commander Kelly Greene used this time to teach the students the proper procedure for retiring the flag. Along with Captain Johnson of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, commander Greene demonstrated how to fold our flag. “It was a great day spent with the staff and students of the school.” “The American Legion strongly supports youth and is willing to help students advance and even win scholarships through the many programs the Legion has to offer,” said Greene.
