The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce hosted a joint ribbon cutting with Main Street Elizabethton on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m. to celebrate The Clock Stop.
The Clock Stop is a clock service and repair shop, with a showroom featuring a variety of clocks for sale. “I repair most types of clocks — battery, electric, or mechanical, and I make house calls to service grandfather clocks,” said owner John Sherrer. “I also have a small showroom with some wall, mantle, and grandfather clocks for sale.”
“If you’ve ever had a beautiful clock that’s a family heirloom and you’ve needed to have it brought back to life, John is here to help. The Clock Stop is a perfect addition to downtown Elizabethton. They also have items to sell for the clock collector on your gift list,” said Chamber Executive Director Joy McCray.
“We are so excited to welcome a new business to our downtown community, especially with such a unique skill set! The Clock Stop is going to be such a wonderful addition to our district and fill a need within our local community. We cannot wait to see the positive impact they will make,” said Main Street Director Courtney Bean.
The Clock Stop is located at 453 E. E Street in Downtown Elizabethton. Visit tnclock.com to learn more about their services.
