Happy Valley Warriors season comes to an abrupt end at the hands of the Monterey Wildcats.
The Warriors made the three and half hour trip on Friday night only to fall to the Wildcats 40-6 in the first round of the 2022 BlueCross Bowl Class 2A football playoffs.
Happy Valley finishes the year with a 2-9 record, while Monterey improves to 9-2 and advances to the second round of the playoffs to face the Hampton Bulldogs. The #2 seed Wildcats travel to JC Campbell Stadium on Friday night to take on the #1 seed Bulldogs.
Kickoff for the contest will be at 7 pm.
