CITY OF ELIZABETHTON PUBLIC RELATIONS
There is a saying “it takes an army” and in the case of running a city like Elizabethton that statement couldn’t be more true.
On Friday at the Parks and Recreation Center, the City of Elizabethton took time to show their employees that they were very thankful for a group of individuals who work tirelessly to make sure that the city and its residents receive the very best service possible by hosting a Thanksgiving luncheon.
These employees work in the background to ensure residents have electricity, water, street and sanitation, and sewer services even as the storms rage or during the coldest of nights.
And although the meal was just a small token of appreciation, the city recognizes that without the effort of each employee, the day to day operations within each department wouldn’t run as smoothly and efficiently for their customers — the residents and end user of each service provided.
“We are thankful for and appreciative of our employees and their contributions in helping to make sure that our residents and businesses are well taken care of,” said City Manager Daniel Estes. “Without their dedication, the city wouldn’t be able to provide the level of service that consumers of our services have come to expect. This meal was just a small way of saying ‘Thank You’ to those employees during this time of year that we celebrate Thanksgiving.”
