Donnie McAllister, 48, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Washington County to Donald Wayne McAllister and Linda Darlene Sherfey Street.
Donnie was a truck driver and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Johnson City.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Terry Street, and maternal grandmother, Louise Sherfey.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jonathon McAllister of Elizabethton; a grandchild soon to be born; sister, Melissa McAllister of Bristol, Va.; brother, Bryan McAllister (Jessica) of Abingdon, Va.; and a niece, Sela McAllister. Several aunts and uncles also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Donnie McAllister will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 8, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Perkins officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 and 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. A private disposition will be held at a later date.
