TDOT announces lane closure on Hwy. 67 widening project

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced a lane closure for approximately one month as work continues on the Highway 67 widening project in Elizabethton. The purpose of the closure is to relocate utility lines.
TDOT will be using barrels to redirect Eastbound traffic onto Broad Street. The barrels will proceed on down Elk Avenue (along centerline) from the split to N. Roan.
Daytime access to the two businesses will be maintained for Westbound traffic and the crews will coordinate work across business accesses to not interfere with business hours as much as possible.
For those who need access to the Downtown Elizabethton area, TDOT recommends using Lynn Avenue.
