One could make the argument that a car is the most important thing an individual could own. It is essential in many communities in America. Many people depend on their vehicles to get to work, school, church, and countless other events. Unfortunately, cars are not indestructible and eventually break down. Automotive repairs and auto parts are therefore essential in most American communities.
Fisher Auto Parts chain has been in business for over 85 years with over 500 stores across the nation. The Elizabethton branch, which opened in December 2021, has been diligently providing for the community. In the year they have been opened they have sold parts to auto shops all over Elizabethton as well as to individual customers.
“Ninety percent of our business is commercial driven. We deliver to the installer but we do service the ‘do-it-yourself’ customer, a walk-in customer, you might say. Our goal is to get their product, and have it available quickly so they can be more profitable in their business,” Steve Hodge, Regional Sales Manager, said.
Fisher Auto Parts in Elizabethton also boasts an experienced staff. “Combined I would say our guys have 130 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket. If you want someone experienced, someone who knows what they are talking about, we probably have more experience than any of our competitors,” Hodge said.
Hodge mentioned several members of the staff such as Joe Parson, manager, the assistant manager, Randy Line, who has over 40 years of experience, and Brad Buchanan with 20 years of experience. Hodge also assured that if they do not have a part in stock that they could get it overnight. With 14 stores in East Tennessee alone, Fisher Auto Parts is a growing and thriving business.
The flow of commerce is essential to our economy so it is good to know that while we rely on local auto repair shops to fix our vehicles those same shops can rely on a provider like Fisher Auto Parts.
While Fisher Auto Parts provides parts for profit they also are engaged in various other activities to help the local community. This year they participated in the Marine-sponsored Toys for Tots as they do every year.
“We get involved in community activities. We want to get more involved with Elizabethton this year with the Car Club,” Hodge said.
Fisher Auto Parts has been in Elizabethton for over a year and have met and exceeded their expectations. “We are excited to be in Elizabethton and we look forward to being here a long time,” said Hodge.
They have helped businesses grow in Carter County and they have shown a willingness and excitement to participate in local events. Fisher Auto Parts have demonstrated that they are a business that cares for the community and wants Elizabethton to grow as its own business grows and thrives.
