Around 15-30 volunteers are needed for the event. All volunteers are required to bring bottled water, closed-toe shoes, recommended to wear pants and winter accessories. The launch point for the event is Little Milligan Boat Ramp, located at Lakeview Drive, Butler.

This cleanup is part of the four-part “Cherokee National Forest River Cleanup Series.” The series includes four cleanups held throughout the month of February, traveling from Watauga Lake near Johnson City to the Ocoee River near Chattanooga, Tenn.
