Blue Springs
Blue Springs Christian Church welcomes its new minister, Andrew Church, his wife, Janee, and children, Ty, two, and Nolan, one. Church began his ministry at Blue Springs Jan. 1.
Church grew up in the Blue Springs community and is a Timothy of the church. He graduated from Johnson University in Knoxville in 2012 and obtained a Master’s degree in New Testament in 2018. He served as youth minister at Boones Creek Christian Church for two years after which he moved to Knoxville and worked at the Knoxville Leadership Foundation for two years. Church has also served as president of Tennessee Christian Teen Convention (TCTC).
Blue Springs Christian Church is located in the Blue Springs community of Stoney Creek. The congregation is excited for Andrew and his family to minister with them. Church has many new and exciting plans for the congregation and invites those looking for a church home to join them. “I especially look forward to ministering to all our neighbors and youth in the community,” he said.

First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will host the Carter County Men’s Fellowship Praise Gathering Sunday at 6 p.m. All are invited to the worship service.
First Christian is also continuing the series “12 Extraordinary Women” by John MacArthur on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
First Christian has services at 9:45 a.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Big Springs Church of Christ
Big Springs Church of Christ will host a Fifth Sunday Youth Rally Sunday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for all fifth through 12th graders.
The evening will include worship, games, fellowship, and a message from the Word.
The theme of the meeting is I Cor. 12: 27.
The event is also being hosted by Gap Creek Christian and Oak Grove Christian churches.
A meal will be catered by Barberitos.

First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, 119 West F St., Elizabethton, will have both in-person and online service Sunday at the 11 a.m. service.
Scripture reading for Sunday is Eph. 2: 19-22 followed by the message from the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, titled “Healthy Households.”
The public is invited.

Watauga Baptist music school
Watauga Association of Baptists will host its 45th annual music school Feb. 20-24 at Grace Baptist Church, Broad St. The school will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with a concert on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The school will be under the direction of Dr. C. Scott Shepherd, TBC Music Specialist.
