EHS students to be recognized for their achievement in a national journalism competition

On Friday, March 3, Elizabethton High School will host a celebration for students to be recognized for their achievement in a national journalism competition. The organization has asked that we embargo the information until Wednesday, March 1, at 11 a.m. We will be happy to provide a specific update after that time; however, this was a nationwide competition for secondary school students organized by a well-recognized public journalism outlet. Because of the success in such a difficult competition, Elizabethton City Schools wants to celebrate the work of the students, share the work with the community, and invite the media to cover this story and have access to students, staff, and family for interviews.

The Celebration will take place from 9:15 until 10:30 a.m. in The Commons of Elizabethton High School. Guests will sign in at the front office and bring a picture ID; the registration/sign-in process will take 5 to

10 minutes.
