UNICOI COUNTY – An ongoing investigation led by special agents with TBI’s Cybercrime and Digital Evidence Unit has resulted in the arrest of an Erwin man.

TBI agents received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), indicating that an individual was using social media platforms to chat with minors and to receive and send images of child sexual abuse material. During the course of the investigation, agents identified that individual as Stewart Lee Mosher, 64.

On Tuesday, TBI agents, with assistance from the Erwin Police Department, the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office, and agents with Homeland Security Investigations, executed a search warrant at Mosher’s home in the 100 block of Valley View Drive in Erwin. Mosher was arrested and booked into the Unicoi County Jail on one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of solicitation of sexual exploitation of a minor. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
