Watauga Baptist
spring meeting
The Watauga Association of Baptist will have its annual spring meeting Thursday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 5950 Highway 67W, Mountain City. The pastor is the Rev. Gale Hartley.
The message will be presented by Dr. Ron Lynch, and music will be directed by Larry Adams.
A new congregation, New Beginnings Church of Trade, will be welcomed into the fellowship of the Association.
The public is invited.

Dungan Chapel
Dungan Chapel Baptist Church, Stoney Creek, will have revival services April 23, 24, and 25 with services at 7 p.m.
Guest speakers are Rusty Verran, Joe Searfoss, James Bentley, and Dr. Steve Davis.
The pastor is the Rev. Teddy Lewis.

Sinking Creek
Sinking Creek Baptist Church will have its annual Women’s Conference “Who Is The I AM?” Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. until noon.
Leanne Blackmore will be the guest speaker.
The cost is $10 per person, which will include lunch.

First Christian
A sunrise service will be held at 8 a.m. on the front lawn of First Christian Church, Elizabethton. Morning worship will be at 10 a.m., also on the front lawn.
Bible study is at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
First Christian has a food pantry. If you need a food box, call the church office to make an appointment at 542-5651.
First Christian is located at 513 Hattie Ave.

Borderview Christian
The musical “In Christ Alone” will be presented at Borderview Christian Church Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
The musical will feature clips of Peter’s encounter with Jesus.
Scott Fisher is senior minister and Sallie Biles is youth director.
The church is located at 1338 Bristol Highway.

First United Methodist
A sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday in the Memory Garden at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton.
Worship Easter Sunday morning will be at 10 a.m.

Grace Baptist
Grace Baptist Church will have a sunrise service Easter Sunday at 6:45 a.m. at the Wilbur Dam Visitors Overlook.
Following the service, breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall.
Sunday School is at 9 a.m. followed by a combined worship service at 10 a.m.

Valley Forge Free Will
Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church will have a sunrise service and breakfast at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday.
The Rev. Randy Johnson is pastor.

First Free Will
First Free Will Baptist Church will have an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall.
Sunday School is at 10 a.m. and morning worship is at 11 a.m.
There will be no evening service.
The Rev. Nathan Jennings is pastor.

Willow Springs
Willow Springs Baptist Church will present the Easter cantata “One Day” at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The choir is directed by Bobby Smith.
There will be no evening service.
Everyone is invited.

First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an in-person and online service Sunday at 11 a.m.
Scripture reading this Sunday is Matt. 28: 1-10, followed by a sermon from the pastor, Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, titled “Resurrection Awareness.”
The church is located at 119 West F St., and the public is invited.

New Liberty
New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church will have a sunrise service at 7 a.m. Sunday with a message by the pastor, the Rev. Wesley Duncan.
At the 11 a.m. service, the New Liberty Choir will sing Easter musical selections and the Easter message will be presented by Pastor Duncan.
Everyone is invited to attend.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

St. Elizabeth Catholic
An Easter Vigil will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 510 West C St.
Easter Sunday services will be at 9.am.
