Happy Valley’s flame thrower eighth grader Grady Goulds was throwing in the high 70’s yesterday, maybe in the low 80’s as he struck out seven batters in three innings while leading the Warriors to a 14-0 win at Unaka.  Lane Parker did his job as a lead-off batter getting on base in his first three at bats and then belting a triple while scoring four runs for Happy Valley.  Parker went one for one while walking twice and getting hit once.  Gavin Strandberg was awesome in the nine spot laying down two sacrifice at bats.  Fermin and Javi Carrillo along with Goulds, Cameron Holder all collected two hits each.
Happy Valley scored four runs in the first, three in the next two innings and four in the fourth to end the game in four innings.   The Rangers loaded the bases in the final inning with relief pitcher Carrillo gave up two hits and a walk in the bottom of the inning.  He struck out two batters and made a unassisted catch for the three outs and the win.  All three runners were left stranded.
Happy Valley 4 3 3 4  -14
Unaka            0 0 0 0   -0
