Rep. John Holsclaw, Jr. won $200 for Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County during the Tennessee Health Care Association’s (THCA) annual “Partnering for Charity” event on March 21 at the Doubletree Hotel Downtown in Nashville. Each year, the charity giveaway is a highlight of THCA’s Legislative Conference, an event that brings long-term care professionals together with state lawmakers to discuss the issues facing the long-term care profession. In total, legislators won nearly $7,000 in donations for charities in their communities. THCA is a nonprofit association representing long-term care facilities throughout the state. Holsclaw, second from right, receives a check from (l-r) Chuck Arnold of Christian Care Center of Unicoi County, Brandy Grindstaff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton, and George “Sandy” Deakins of Care Centers Management Consulting at the THCA’s annual charity giveaway.
