August Muse in Downtown Elizabethton will host a combined art show Saturday, May 6, from 4-6 p.m. to celebrate rising local artists. This exhibit show will remain open in-store through the end of May 2023.

Mason Van Horn uses his work to encourage and inspire viewers to be more bold and confident in their own lives. Through his passion for realism and absurdist art styles, he finds joy in the humor that art can evoke. Megan Ree Taylor explores still life and whimsical pastoral scenes, and she creates original oils and miniatures. Megan finds joy in creating art and cannot wait to share her creativity, love, and joy in this upcoming art show.

The front and back entrance of the shop at 518 E. Elk Ave. will be open on May 6 from 4-7 p.m. for the opening night of the art show. Guests are invited out to explore the works of both artists and have a chance to meet them in person.
