First Friday brings bevy of activities to Covered Bridge Park

It was the first Friday of June and that could only mean another First Friday full of activities throughout downtown Elizabethton and around Covered Bridge Park.
Carter County Bank sponsored a Food Truck competition where judges sampled different items from food trucks present and after a tough deliberation gave out recognition for various categories.
The Kindest People provided the evening’s music which was enjoyed by everyone that came out to enjoy a beautiful Friday night.
There was something for everyone including pets, as owners and their pets enjoyed listening to the music while watching children having a good time attempting to take a few swings at a ball at a blowup to tossing a frisbee and jumping rope.
It was just another example of things going on in Elizabethton to bring visitors from all around to discover what the community has to offer.
