To the Editor:
“O, be careful little eyes what you see…For the Father up above is looking down in love…” is an old childhood Christian song which has been around for many generations. I remember singing it at church. This a good reminder for all of us. Some Muslim countries in the Middle East such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE are taking action to protect their children from the ravages of the LGBTQ influences of our world. They are standing up to the likes of Disney and Netflix for the “harmful content of their movies.”
Netflix was accused of soft-core child porn with the “Cutie” movie of 11-year olds twerking. Twerking is dancing in a provocative manner. Muslims took a stand against content that is targeting their children to promote the LGBTQ lifestyle. In America Christians who speak out about the LGBTQ are wrongly called biased, homophobic, unloving and even dangerous. It was actually an alleged transgender that recently killed Christians in Nashville. In showing love to this lost and dying world Christians aren’t required to agree with the LGBTQ evil worldview or religion by displaying things that promote them before our own eyes or those of our children. It’s troubling that the Muslim countries are doing more to protect their children than many Christian families and Christian churches.
Recently one Massachusetts church was celebrating Gay Pride Month and lightning hit it and it burned to the ground. The LGBTQ has even promoted porn in libraries that children have read. The Bible in Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things!” The Bible says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross despising the shame and set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Many like the LGBTQ want censorship for Christian speech but no censorship for hard-core porn. Porn is tearing apart the family and the fabric of American society. Today’s porn is worse than any in the past. The internet has made porn more accessible than ever. Today’s porn is much more hardcore. As a result more are addicted to porn than ever. Yet today porn is more accepted than ever. In a recent survey young people were asked which is more evil: viewing porn or failing to recycle? The majority said failing to recycle is more evil than viewing porn. The Tenth Commandment in the Bible clearly condemns lust. Lust has been popular a long time. Baywatch was years ago the most popular T.V. show in the world. Today Yellowstone with Kevin Costner is one of the most watched T.V. series and it has porn in it. Researchers say porn harms people in many ways. These are objective facts about the dangers of porn consumption and not my opinion. 1. Many men who view porn lose the ability to relate to or be close to women. 2. Porn viewers become de-sensitized to the barrage of imagery and as a result, child porn and violent porn lose their ability to shock and disgust and becomes more accepted by them. 3. Wives report feeling betrayed, mistrust and anger as a result of discovering their husbands view porn. 4. Porn users have an increased likelihood of divorce and family break-up. 5. Those who view porn are three times more likely to cheat on and have extramarital affairs than those who don’t view porn. 6. Boys who view porn are more likely to sexually harass a peer or force someone to have sex. 7. Today’s porn consumption encourages sexual exploitation such as trafficking. 8. Teens who view porn are more likely to view women as sexual objects. 9. Viewing porn decreases sexual satisfaction with one’s partner for both men sand women. 10. Chronic porn use is is associated with depression and unhappiness. 11. States that have the highest porn users have the highest rape rates. Porn is dangerous and destroys people and families. Research shows that porn can cause violence against women and children. Porn can open the door to let demons control your life.
Studies of serial killers found 81 percent said their biggest interest was violent hard core porn. People of this end time high tech world are deceived and entrapped in the slavery of addictions of all types and forms. Always begin by bringing them to the only One who is able and willing to sets us free – Jesus. Remember the Christian song by Zack Williams, “If you’ve got pain, He’s a pain taker. If you feel lost, He’s a way maker. If you need freedom or saving, He’s a prison-shaking Savior. If you’ve got chains, he’s a chain breaker.” Entertainment will leave you empty, power will leave you heartless, porn and lust will leave you loveless, money (and things) will leave you comfortless, drugs will leave you senseless or dead, Jesus won’t leave you regardless! You can’t be a slave if Jesus has freed you and made you a son or daughter. Jesus led the most freeing revolution in history awashed in blood, His own. His revolution is one person at a time from the inside out. There’s only one way to have true freedom and live free in Tennessee and for eternity – Jesus!
