Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center, 428 East G Street, for the week of July 31 – August 4:
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 noon.
The billiard room and fitness room are open and no appointments necessary.
Monday: Balance, Toning & Strengthening – Gerihab Mobile – K.C., Free, 9:15 a.m.; Lunch – Chicken Broccoli & Rice Casserole, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga – Yoga Farm, with Instructor, Shirley Gomillian, $3, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle Flow – Yoga Farm with Instructor, Cindy Brugnolett, $3, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Tuesday: Blood Pressure Screenings with Freda, 9 a.m.; Matter of Balance, UT Extension Office, 9:30-11 a.m.; Lunch – Pizza Casserole, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing with Sharon Pilk, 12- 2 p.m., $3.
Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, Free, 9-10 a.m.; Eat Well, Feel Well – 6 Week Course provided by UT Extension, 10 a.m.; Lunch – Hamburger, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m., with Instructor, Shirley Gomillian, $3; Gentle-flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m., with Instructor, Cindy Brugnolett, $3.
Thursday: SALT Council Meeting – Agencies, Seniors & Community Welcome, 12 p.m.; Lunch – Sliced Ham, 11 a.m.
Friday: Let’s Play Bingo, 10 a.m.; Lunch – Country Style Steak, 11 a.m.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren – Are you raising a grandchild or even a great-grandchild? Grandparents Raising Grandchildren meets on the last Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. at the Elizabethton Senior Center. Next meeting is August 29. You can find support and resource connection!
The Elizabethton Senior Center is partnering with Caris Healthcare to begin holding a monthly Veterans Support Group. All veterans are welcome! Meetings will be held on the second Thursday of the month! The upcoming meeting will be August 10 from 1-2 p.m. – Coffee and Snack!
REMINDER: Street signs with reflective numbers are still available at the Center for a cost of $5. These are provided at this discount price through our SALT Council. Make sure you can be located in case of an emergency.
