United Way, in collaboration with local battered women’s organizations, is proud to announce the Sock Drive during the Shop Late Thursday. This initiative aims to provide comfort and support to women facing difficult circumstances.
Taking place on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m., downtown Elizabethton will be transformed into a hub of warmth and generosity. United Way invites the community to participate by donating a brand-new pair of women’s socks at any of the participating businesses.
Socks, a seemingly simple item, can make a world of difference to those in need. They symbolize care, understanding, and hope. By joining hands with United Way and the courageous women’s shelters they support, community members can contribute to creating a brighter tomorrow for those on their journey to healing and strength.
We believe in the power of small gestures, by donating a pair of socks, you are sending a message of compassion and support to women who are in need of comfort and hope. Together, we can make a significant impact in their lives.
The Shop Late Thursdays event is an opportunity for the community to come together and show solidarity with women facing challenging circumstances. By supporting this initiative, individuals and businesses can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
