Pat Lewis, 78, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following a brief illness. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Paul Ed and Beulah Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul E. Lewis Jr., Shelton K. Lewis, Randy L. Lewis and John G. Lewis; and his father and mother-in-law, Roy and Mary Louise Simerly.
Pat was a retired truck driver and enjoyed hunting. He was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church where he had formerly served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Those left to cherish his many memories include his wife, Linda Lewis of the home; son, Terry Lewis (Jaclyn) of Elizabethton; granddaughter, Meagan Lewis of Elizabethton; two brothers, James D. Lewis (Susan) of Kingsport and Wanye Lewis of Bluff City; and two sisters, Nadine Million of Chattanooga and Rose Smith of Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to honor the life of Pat Lewis will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 12, at Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) with Mr. David Siebenaler, minister, and Rev. Melissa Smith officiating. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Friends may visit Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, on Wednesday, October 11,, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. or on Thursday, October 12, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. to pay their respects and sign the memorial book.
