The Bonnie Kate Community Theater will host its production of the Broadway classic “Godspell” on March 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24 at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will be March 17 and 23 at 2:30 p.m.
“Godspell” was the first major musical theater offering from the three-time Grammy and Academy Award winning Stephen Schwartz production and it took the world by storm. Led by the international hit “Day By Day,” “Godspell” features a parade of beloved songs including “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord,” “Learn Your Lessons Well, “All For the Best, “All Good Gifts,” “Turn Back O Man,” and “By My Side.”
“Godspell” is a delightful and poignant rock opera that represents a unique and thoughtful view of Jesus. This modern retelling of biblical parables is a joyous celebration of music, mime, comedy, and slapstick.
His followers become a tight-knit supportive community as they reenact parables.
The story of “Godspell” speaks to the passion of Jesus Christ to instill love and joy in the hearts of the people and the pillars of loving our neighbors, forgiveness, inclusivity, and celebration.
Tickets can be purchased at the regular price of $15.
