Frances Marie Hunter Harrison, 92, Johnson City, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at her residence. She was born July 27, 1931 in Johnson City to the late Worley and Pauline Campbell Hunter.

Mrs. Harrison was employed several years at East Tennessee State University Bookstore. She was also Co-Owner of J.C. Beauty & Barber Supply. She was a Volunteer at Asbury Nursing Home, Senior Center and Appalachian Fair. 

She was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church, where she loved her Sunday School Class, and a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to crochet, work in her garden and read.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Ray Harrison, who passed away September 13, 2019; four sisters, Ethel Phipps, Clara Renfro, Louise Barnes and Billie Greene; and one brother, Worley Hunter Jr.

Survivors include her children, Deborah (John) McNeill, Cynthia Williams, Lisa (David) Yates and Brenda (Kevin) Townsend; four grandchildren, Keila (Brian) Smithpeters, Stacy (Chris) Haas, Adam (Christa) Williams and Jessica Yates; great-grandchildren, Easton, Gibson, Paisley, Sawyer, Cayden, Blaklie, Mae, Sutton, Braylan and Christian; one sister, Carrie Matherly; and her sisters-in-law, Pat Hunter, Sherry Coffey and Fran Harrison.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) with Mark Harris and Pastor Chuck Babb officiating. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Ballad Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 9500 W.
