JOHNSON CITY – A Johnson City man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault following a domestic disturbance on Colony Park Drive late Tuesday night.

Officers from the Johnson City Police Department responded to a call shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 6. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Troy Wyatt, 58, had allegedly strangled a woman and pushed her, causing her to fall into a piece of furniture. The woman sustained a cut to her head as a result of the incident.

Wyatt was taken into custody at the scene and charged with aggravated assault. He was subsequently transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
