Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department names Kelly Kitchens and Garrett Johnson as new Assistant Directors

The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department has announced the promotion of Kelly Kitchens and Garrett Johnson to the roles of Assistant Directors, reflecting the department’s ongoing growth and dedication to enhancing community services.
Kitchens, who has served the City of Elizabethton for over 23 years, has been appointed as the Assistant Director of Recreation. In this new capacity, she will manage special events, programs, and athletics, drawing from her extensive experience as the Programming and Special Event Coordinator.
Johnson, with 14 years of experience within the department, has been promoted to Assistant Director of Facilities and Grounds. He will oversee the Maintenance and Aquatics divisions, building on his successful tenure as Maintenance Supervisor.
