The evening began like any other summer night, with hot temperatures greeting players from Elizabethton and Morristown West. However, just like in 2023, the weather quickly changed.

A thunderstorm blew in around 7 p.m., and the game scheduled for Friday was postponed due to lightning and heavy rain.

A makeup date has yet to be announced, as both teams will enter regional play next week.
