Sen. Rusty Crowe re-appointed chairman of Health and Welfare

State Senator Rusty Crowe, R-Johnson City, was reappointed Chairman of the Health and Welfare Committee on Thursday, Jan. 16, by Lt. Gov. McNally. Additionally, Crowe was assigned to the Education Committee and Government Operations Committee. Members were assigned their committees inside the Senate Chamber days after newly and re-elected senators were sworn in.

“It is an honor to continue to serve Tennessee as the Health and Welfare Committee Chairman,” said Crowe. “I appreciate  Lt. Gov. McNally for his confidence in me to chair this important committee.” 

Lt. Gov. McNally spoke highly of Sen. Crowe and his accomplishments.

Sen. Crowe has a distinguished career in public service. Aside from his legislative duties, Crowe is an Army Veteran and longtime healthcare consultant.

A longtime resident of East Tennessee, Sen. Crowe lives in Johnson City with his wife, Sarah. They are proud parents of two adult children.
