Sharron Rose Younce, 77, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2025. Born and raised in Elizabethton, she devoted her life to faith, family, and serving others.
A devout Christian, Sharron found joy in reading the Bible and spending time in prayer. She was a loving wife to Bill C. Younce for 60 years, a dedicated pastor’s wife, and a pillar of strength for her family. She was a cherished mother to four children, a grandmother to ten, and a great-grandmother to eleven, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith.
Sharron is survived by her husband, Bill C. Younce; her children, Mark Younce, Rebecca White, Jason Younce, and Tim Younce; her siblings, Pat Nunley, Vicky Mullins, Tammy Tipton, Junior Smith, and Doug Smith; and many other family members and friends who were blessed by her kindness and unwavering faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Faith Phillips Smith, and her beloved sister, Jeanette Boone, whom she loved dearly. Sharron lived by example, always there to help those in need, and her devotion to God and family was evident in every aspect of her life.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. at Lighthouse for Jesus, 2680 Highway 19-E, Elizabethton, Tenn., 37643. The entombment service will be Tuesday, February 4, at 11 a.m. at the Mausoleum of Faith, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family.
Sharron’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her faith, love, and compassion will never be forgotten. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
