Lisa Ann Dale, 55, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on July 4, 1969, in Chicago, Ill.
Lisa was the daughter of Robert and Judy Smith. She pursued her passion for teaching by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Tusculum College and further specializing in Special Education at East Tennessee State University (ETSU).
Throughout her life, Lisa dedicated herself to making a difference in the lives of children. Her commitment to helping students with special needs reflected her deep compassion and unwavering belief in the potential of every child. Lisa was a caring and compassionate teacher who went above and beyond to support her students, fellow teachers and friends. She was always an advocate for the underdog.
Lisa will be remembered fondly by those who knew her for her dedication and the positive impact she made on countless lives. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 11 years, Harry Dale; her son, Mitchell Lamont, and her daughter, Tristin Lamont; her brother, Jeff Smith; her stepsisters, Myra Mascaro and Michelle Shell; and her stepmother, Mary Nelle Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 15, by the Trinity Methodist Church at Hathaway-Percy Chapel in Elizabethton (101 East F Street). Flowers will be accepted. Words of sympathy may be shared with the family by visiting our website at www.hathawaypercy.com.
