Hayden Lee Holt

Hayden Lee Holt, 20, of San Antonio, was the son of Carlos Lee Holt and Joanna C. Holt (Swain). He was born on Nov. 29, 2004, just two days before his father’s retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps. Hayden’s sister, Kennedy, was 2 years old at the time. At age 4, the family moved to Nashville, then to Gainesville, Florida, in 2015, where he attended Cornerstone Academy. The family finally settled in San Antonio in 2020, where Hayden attended Ronald Reagan High School. He completed his Texas high school graduation requirements in 2023.

At an early age, Hayden was far ahead of his peers in learning and using various electronic games on handheld systems, computers and early web-based systems. He also enjoyed family vacations to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Diego, Washington, D.C., and Florida beaches, including Cocoa, Daytona and Jacksonville.

Hayden was a member of the Cub Scouts of America in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, from 2015 through 2019, obtaining the rank of Bobcat through Webelos. He also played soccer for Cornerstone Academy in Gainesville and enjoyed competing in the team finals brackets in South Florida.

Until his death, Hayden worked in shipping and receiving at Burlington Stores and Ross Stores, both retail outlets in the Stone Oak area.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Hathaway-Percy Funeral & Cremation Services, 101 E. F St., Elizabethton, with the funeral beginning at 11 a.m. The graveside service will immediately follow at Emmert Cemetery at Harmony Baptist Church.
