Paul L. Wooten

Paul L. Wooten, 52, of Bristol, Tenn., went home to be with his Lord, Monday, February 9, 2015, at Bristol Regional Hospital. He was born in Banner Elk, N.C., but had lived most of his life in Carter County until moving to Bristol. Paul was a son of the late William and Juanita Garland Wooten.
Paul was retired from Wooten’s Tire of Roan Mountain. He was a member of Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church. He loved to drag race and loved NASCAR, camping and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-brothers, Ray and Gene Wooten.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon and Natasha Wooten and Josh and Allie Wooten, all of Roan Mountain; a daughter, Amber Wooten, Roan Mountain; a sister, Sandra Shoemake and husband Glen; a step-sister, Sylvia Shankle; and his girlfriend, Charlotte Smith, Bristol.
Funeral services for Paul L. Wooten will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, February 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Danny Blevins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, in the Wooten Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Pallbearers will be his close family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of Brandon Wooten. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com
